New Art Program

Flip-Flop Gymnastics is excited to introduce our art program! Classes are founded on the “Not Just Art” curriculum and taught by Melissa Ryan of Schoolmates.

Class Sessions:
Session I: September 13th - November 16th
Session II: January 31st - April 10th
*Cost of classes is per session and is non-refundable. Supplies are included.

Creative Art Exploration!
Tuesday: 1:00 - 2:00
3 ½ - 5 year olds with caregiver - $175.00
* Children use their imaginations to explore different media and art related stories. Activities are open-ended and designed to stimulate creativity and problem solving skills, encourage fine motor development and independence. As the session progresses some projects may carry over from week to week and collaborative experiences will be introduced. Each class includes creative play, easel painting, weekly projects and a related story.

Adventures with Artists!
Tuesday: 3:45 - 5:15
Grades 1 - 6 - $260.00
*Exploring the world of art by learning about artists and how their work is made. We will look at different methods and styles of Artistic expression from around the world and experiment by using those techniques to produce our own work.

“I am a Kindermates teacher at Schoolmates where I am lucky enough to get to spend my days hiking the trails of Bushy Hill and exploring the world through the eyes of Kindergarteners! I have a 6 year old son and an 8 year old daughter who both keep me very busy with their creative ideas! We have a dog named Harry, 37 chickens and 1 pheasant. When we aren’t taking care of the animals or working at our “creation station” we like to hike, bike, read and make up silly songs.”

Reminder: Exploring can get messy! Please make sure children wear art-friendly clothes!

* We allow one make up class per session. One make up class will be scheduled at the end of each session and can not carry over.
